Vinho Verde welcomes buyers and journalists from the US and UK
Vinho Verde exports grow
8 Americans and 7 British complete the group that will visit the Vinho Verde Region between January 29th and February 3rd. This visit will permit a deeper understanding of the Vinho Verde Region and the wine that is produced in it. U.S. and United Kingdom are two priority markets for Vinho Verde, however, the growth of exports to the U.S. in 2009 was evident, with an increase of 27%.
With a clear focus on foreign markets and cross-border promotion of Vinho Verde, CVRVV continues to invest in organizing visits to its Region, allowing a greater awareness and knowledge about the origin, characteristics and consumption of the Vinho Verde.
The program includes visits to farms and wineries, and wine tastings. Quinta de Carapeços, Adega Ponte de Lima, Adega de Monção, Quinta de Santa Maria, PROVAM and CVRVV's headquarters in Porto, are some of the points that will be visited.
